The Properties tab is where you can adjust properties for either the entire scene or selected objects.
It provides the best option depending on the object you choose, in two main ways:
Global Setting: When any object is not selected
Local Setting: When the object is selected
Scene can set the background color of the Viewport.
Surface is the work area provided by Viewport. A grid Surface is provided by default, but you can insert images and customize them.
Target allows you to select a Target type, and create and change a Target. The size of the Target can be adjusted, and this size is the same as the actual size.
All of these options are dependent on the scene.
Information displays the type and name of the selected object.
Transform includes Position, Rotation, and Scale as options to change the properties of an object.
Color is the option to change the color of an object, including color and transparency.
Opacity is the option to adjust the transparency of an object.
Visible is the option to view or hide objects.
Geometry is the option to fine-tune the shape of an object. It has different options depending on the object type selected.
Material is the option for setting detailed values, such as texture, skin, and shadow of an object.
Events is the option to add events on the object.
All of these options are dependent on the scene.
